I was cleaning out some files and instead of deleting these extras I recycled them into a mini kit in honour of Earth Day!

Sugar Bush

On Easter Sunday after Mass we went to the sugar bush pancake festival. We had C and his 3 boys with us. It was very well run with wagons with nice seats to take us from our van to the farm and also to the sugar bush. The pancakes and sausages were yummy and they had kept snow in the freezer to make taffy for the kids. They also had lots of other fun things to do. A pile of wood with hammer and nails to make what ever you wanted and small pots and seeds to plant games and even a back hoe that the kids could run (with adult help)! We were there about 3 hours and everyone enjoyed it. Here are some pictures:

Art Classes

From February 2 to March 9 (6 weeks) I took art classes at the Peterborough Art Gallery. I have never used oils before so it was exciting and a bit scary. We sketched the first week but jumped into oils on week 2 doing still life of apples, We did apples again the third week but week 4 we did our own thing. I had forgotten my photos so borrowed one and this is what I did in 2 sessions.:
